There is still time to RSVP for Movie Night at the ELC! Movie Night is tomorrow, Thursday, May 9th from 4:30-6:00 p.m.. Come join the fun and don't forget to bring your lawn chairs or blanket to sit on!

Richland County preschool families: Don't forget "Kindergarten Meet the Teachers Night " this Thursday, April 25th from 4:30-6:00 p.m. This event is for any preschool student that will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2024, who plans to attend RCES kindergarten in the of Fall 2024. Call RCES now at 618-395-8540 to RSVP for this event!

The end of year dates have been finalized for the 2023-2024 school year.
Last day of student attendance will by Tuesday, May 21st.
All RCCU #1 schools will be in session on Thursday. RCELC, RCES, and RCMS will continue to be under a boil order. Bottled water will be provided for students and staff as needed, but students are encouraged to bring their own filled water bottles. Breakfast and lunch will be served with all necessary safety measures being taken. RCHS is not affected by the boil order.

Please make note of a change to the school calendar. There will be no school on Monday, April 8th due to the anticipated volume of extra traffic and people in the area for the solar eclipse.
Here are some upcoming school calendar events over the next few days. First, students will be dismissed 3 hours early on Thursday, February 15 for school improvement activities. In addition, there will be no school on Friday, February 16 due to parent/teacher conferences and Monday, February 19 for Presidents Day.
Each year Illinois schools are required to participate in a survey of learning conditions to provide valuable data on continuous school improvement. We are asking that one parent/guardian from each household take the short survey at the link below for each school in which they have a child attending.
